The purplish shale is a new development porcelain raw material and spreads mainly in the Sunbo, Anzhan and Bianyuan parts of the Feicheng city. The ore body bestows in the Cambrian Period layer, its reserves are about two-hundred and twenty million tons.The ore offers itself the purplish or brick red, blade from, the mineral compositions are the mica sand shale and the powder sand shale, the chemical compositions—SiO2:55.62%; AL2O3:17.64% ; 9.61%; Fe2O3: 9.61%; K2O:5.40%; Na2O:0.48%; MnO:0.05%; P2O5:0.12%;TiO2:1.0%; CaO: 1.11%; MgO: 3.73%.
This ore is the major raw material of producting high grade porcelain, it may be used to produce the perform of glazed tile, still used as a cement burden and a raw material of the brick and tile. In last few years, the high grade flowerpots and the porcelain products sintered by the red shales with matching painting and calligraphies look a primitive simplicity, refined and antique.
In boundary, there are still the rich river cobbles, its reserves are two-hundred thousand m³, with composition of the quartz, the feldspar and the granitization metamorphic rock, the cobble size generally is 5-30cm,spreading mainly in river course.
