Potash feldspar resources
The potash feldspar mine located in north 6 Km of the Feicheng city proper. The mine body offered itself a vein from and produced in the Proterozoic Era intrusive rock. From east to west there are three mine sections. The reserves are five-hundred million tons.1. The Shuangyu mine section. Total 13 large and small ore vein were explored and determined. Their spreading area is 3㎞².The potash feldspar produces in the granite pegmatite, the country rock of the mine body is the diorite.
2. Huangye mine section. There are total 43 ore veins. Their spreading area is 8㎞². The potash feldspar of the ore vein intergrows with the quartz. The country rock is the Permian granite.
3. Tiaoshuijian mine section. There are total 22 ore veins of the potas feldspar Their spreading area is 5㎞² . Ore chemical composition: major composition SiO2, secondly, AL2O3, K2O, Na2O, trace Fe2O3, TiO2 etc. Average content of SiO2: 69.76%; AL2O3: 16.15%; Fe2O3:0.2%; K2O+ Na2O: 12.15%; K2O／Na2O: 3.77%.
4. Now, in the boundary, there are total 4 enterprises to mine the potash feldspar, the annual output of the ore is 200,000 tons. The potash feldspar is used in the manufacturing industries such as porcelain, glass and enamel extensively.
